Lochinver, you rock!

Last week we were treated to yet another spectacular Senior Concert, with spellbinding solo performances from Oliver and Tommy, Year 7, and Rishi, Year 6. Our Senior Orchestra wowed us with ‘Seven Nation Army’, ably conducted by Ben, Year 8, and Grieg’s ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’. Our Flute and Bassoon ensembles played some fun and sophisticated pieces and Rock Band completely raised the roof with several arrangements, including ‘Let Me Entertain You’. Whilst rehearsing, a visiting family remarked that the the Rock Band sounded professional and that they would pay good money for a ticket to see them. Praise doesn’t come much higher than that, please do have a listen to them play. Not bad for a group of boys in Years 5 to 8, we hope you agree!

Our thanks go to all of the boys for their practice, dedication and superb playing. Also to all who joined our audience, to our world class peripatetic staff and to Mr Camillo, Director of Performing Art, who always pulls everything together so brilliantly!
