SCHOOLS' BRIGHT SPARKS RECYCLE ELECTRICAL WASTE
Since 2015, Lochinver House School has taken part in the Waste Aware programme run by Hertfordshire Waste Partnership. All the unwanted electrical items you bring in are handed over to Hertfordshire Council and are donated to charities, such as the British Heart Foundation, or recycled. This not only diverts waste from landfill sites but encourages us to recycle items we may have otherwise thrown away.
During the latest event in March 2016, 140 schools participated and a staggering 3,800 items were collected which equated to 24 tonnes of material for recycling!
Thank you to everyone who has donated items to the last three collections. We hope to be participating again soon.
The boys have been busy practising for this evening's Carol Service. We look forward to seeing you at Christ Church, Little Heath at 7 pm for what promises to be a joyous occasion. https://t.co/F9H5rPLBxq
