A ‘wall of wonder’ graces the walls of the English room. Here the boys are invited to post up any questions that they ‘wonder’ about. The work is done independently at a time during the lesson that the boys consider to be a suitable and appropriate moment. They write their questions on a post-it note and stick it back up on the Wonderwall. Sometimes fellow classmates answer their question on the back. In the past questions posed have ranged from ‘Are rappers poets?’ to ‘Why do people fear death?’ The questions currently include ‘Why am I good at some things and not others?’ to ‘How fast do trees grow?’ If you’re passing by Mrs Huber’s English room please come and have a look at our Wonderwall; you might even like to respond to some of the questions posed.
