Boulogne-sur-Mer in the sunshine
Last Friday, year 6 crossed the Channel to spend a very sunny and enjoyable day in Boulogne-sur-Mer. We took ‘le Shuttle’ and were amazed by the bus driver’s ability to get a 52 seater coach onto a train! A mere 30 minutes later we were in France, just in time for lunch. We spent the afternoon taking a tour around the Old Town with Miss Jefferies and walking along the old ramparts. We also had some free time to buy souvenirs, look around the shops and many boys practised their French in the local Boulangerie! We ended our time in Boulogne with a delicious meal in a local restaurant where the boys enjoyed snails, Boeuf Bourgignon, fish, ice cream and Mousse au Chocolat, before returning to Lochinver.
A great day was had by all!
