Soulmates Academy Visits Lochinver House
A very important part of our school curriculum is Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PHSEE), which aims to develop, in our boys, skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, teamwork and critical thinking. One of the three core themes of PHSEE is relationships and living in the wider world.
To help us to explore this theme more widely this term, we were honoured to invite ex-Lochinver parents, Jon and Andrea-Taylor Cummings of Soulmates Academy, back to the School to deliver an assembly to Years 6 to 8 focussing on identifying the differences between us and workshops to Year 8 about building positive relationships.
As parents of two boys themselves, Mr and Mrs Taylor-Cummings pitched the thought-provoking sessions prefectly to a somewhat younger audience than they are used to! The boys were thoroughly engaged throughout, they asked some very interesting questions and left with a positive attitude towards building positive relationships and being different.
Wishing our @LHSPrep community a wonderful summer! See you in September!
