Crabbing in Cromer!
We have been watching with much interest the progress of the boys who signed up this year to be part of ‘Been There Done it!’, a whole school initiative which encourages a healthier balance of activities and a move away from screen time towards positive pursuits, which enrich their lives and learning and make precious memories.
And so we were delighted to discover that Krishan and Ricardo had set off for Cromer with their parents at the weekend to try to catch some sweet Cromer crabs, a bit of a British delicacy! Using traditional crabbing equipment from the pier, the boys soon discovered that crabbing is not actually as easy as it looks. However, after a good bit of guidance and encouragement from the locals and a whole lot of patience, Ricardo and Krishan finally struck it lucky and managed to land some of the famous crabs.
Taking full advantage of their trip to Norfolk, the boys also managed to take in a visit to a Bailey and Motte Castle, which ties in nicely with their Year 1 Castles project!
It is fairly safe to say that 'Been There, Done It' is a great way for families to connect with nature and spend some quality time together, away from the distractions of modern life.
Thank you to Krishan and Ricardo for letting us share your story.
Yesterday's first ever Pre Prep Lego Club was a massive hit! The boys listened to 'Whatever next' by Jill Murphy and then designed rockets for Baby Bear to fly to the moon, complete with a seat for his companion, Owl. Next week the boys will design and construct landmarks. https://t.co/ENQ9gpqQHz
