During the last academic year four members of staff, Gill Thomas, Purita Cortes, Robert West and Claire Hawkins became involved in a programme of further study and training. The TLDW (Teacher Led Development Work) is an extra qualification (that contributes towards a Masters degree) run by the HertsCam network. Over the course of the year each team member focussed on an area of their practice that they would like to develop and through study, activities, networking and an awful lot of hard work produced a dissertation of evidence and outcome. All of this work was taken on in addition to their usual teaching commitments at school. All four candidates were then externally assessed and I am delighted to say were all successfully awarded a qualification by the University of Cambridge recognising their knowledge and expertise in developing teacher leadership.
