COUNTING THE VOTES!
'THE CHARITY THAT IS A TRIFLE TO US CAN BE PRECIOUS TO OTHERS.' - HOMER
This morning, our Head Boys, House and Vice House Captains and Mr Latchford bravely stood up in assembly to present 7 charities, nominated for our support this academic year. The Theatre was packed with a huge audience made up of boys in Years 3 to 8, staff and parents and it was incredibly impressive to hear the boys speak with such confidence, enthusiasm and emotion about charities which have touched their own lives. We congratulate each of them on such competent presentations.
At the end of the presentations, everyone in the assembly voted for their top 3 charities, while our Pre Prep boys voted in their classrooms.
After an intense but exciting count-up in the Blue Room at break time, we are delighted to announce that this year, our 3 chosen charities are Noah's Ark Children's Hospice, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and Cancer Research.
We will very much look forward to seeing the creative ways in which our Year 8s will enjoy raising valuable funds for these truly worthy causes throughout the coming year!
The boys have been busy practising for this evening's Carol Service. We look forward to seeing you at Christ Church, Little Heath at 7 pm for what promises to be a joyous occasion. https://t.co/F9H5rPLBxq
