Year 3 Song about the 3Rs!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

During Science Week, Year 3 have been busy thinking about what recycling means to them. They have been busy composing their own song based on the 3R song by Jack Johnson.  As it is science week we wanted to share it with you - it is brilliant and well worth a listen, please click on the link at the end of the lyrics!

'3 it’s a magic number

Yes it is, it’s a magic number

Because 2x3 is 6

And 3 x 6 is 18

And the 18th number in the alphabet is R

We’ve got 3R’s we’re gonna talk about today

We’ve got to reduce, reuse, recycle, reduce, reuse recycle

Don’t go cutting down the trees

And let us enjoy the special breeze

You mustn’t throw bags around

Because they litter the beautiful ground

Reduce, reuse, recycle, reduce, reuse, recycle

If you find some litter on the floor

Don’t just throw it on the shore

Think of the fish in the sea

They want to swim and be free

Reduce, reuse, recycle, reduce, reuse, recycle

If you walk down the street

And find something at your feet

It might be a metal tin

Make sure you throw it in the bin.

Reduce, reuse, recycle, reduce, reuse,

Don’t go throwing out your clothes

Just give them to your little bros

Stop and think about what we do

How we live is down to you!'
