Some of our year 8 boys meeting the new addition to the Science Department.
The Science Department have adopted a Humboldt penguin from ZSL London Zoo on behalf of Lochinver House School. Many of Antarctica's penguin populations are in decline and the Humboldt penguin, found in Chile and Peru, is itself listed as 'vulnerable'. ZSL supports conservation work worldwide to protect animals and their habitats. By adopting this penguin, we hope to contribute to this fantastic work and raise awareness of the plight of penguins and the many other endangered animals. He will journey around the school to support our teaching. The boys have been asked to submit suggestions for a name for our new addition!
Please give your name suggestion on a slip of paper to Mrs Barry or Mrs Brierley or you can E Mail your suggestion to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Entries must be received by Tuesday 12th December. Thank you.
