This year’s theme was ‘Theatre’ to coincide with the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. It was quite a tricky theme but as ever all of our Year 3-8 boys rose to the challenge.
From the over 200 entries we selected just 24 to go through to the next round. These boys and their families were invited to the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 11th June at Haileybury.
The sun was shining and the pastries were flowing. Against some extraordinary competition Charlie Bracken (Yr 7) was announced the overall winner for the Year 7 and 8 entries from all of the hundreds of entries and Josh Lanstone (Yr 4) received a commendation. We have a 100% success record in this competition as every time we have entered we have walked away with one (or sometimes more than one) of the top prizes.
I know the quality of the creative writing at Lochinver House is very much a team effort and we would not get to do what we are able to with our senior boys without the wonderful support and expertise of all of the staff who teach our boys English.
Congratulations to Charlie, Josh and all of those who entered.

A highlight of the school year has to be Grandparents' Afternoon - thank you to all our visitors and to our amazing Year 5 boys for being such good entertainers and tour guides! https://t.co/XtMb8lOXxn
